Jeff Bergstrom has been selected to join the Colorado Bar Association’s Real Estate Law Section Council beginning in August of 2011, serving a three-year term. Among other things, through various committees the Real Estate Section Council:
- recommends sponsoring, proposing changes to, supporting or opposing proposed legislation affecting real property;
- considers current title problems and drafts and proposes title standards or legislation for their solution;
- recommends changes to the standard forms adopted by the Real Estate Commission; and
- acts as a liaison to the Interprofessional Committee, the purpose of which is to promote a better understanding among real estate professionals, and to the Colorado Housing Council, the purpose of which is to see to it that the public is better served in its housing needs, through the advancement of communication among industry members.
