Grimshaw & Harring, P.C. welcomes seasoned Super Lawyer Stuart Pack to the firm as its newest complex civil litigator. Bringing a visual and performing arts background to his practice of law, Stu holds the attention of juries with drama, becoming the person who guides and leads them through the complexity of a case. Coupled with mastery of the spoken word and, of course, persuasive arguments, Stu is an engaging trial lawyer. “My greatest strength is in the presentation side of trial work. I enjoy creating a reality in the courtroom that helps the judge and jury understand and believe my client’s case. I work to gain the jury’s confidence.”
From 2007-2011, Stu Pack has been named in Colorado Super Lawyers® as one of the top civil litigators in the state. He also has achieved the Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent Rated™ Lawyer status for more than 25 years, the highest rating in legal abilities and ethical standards as determined by his peers. Stu’s extensive litigation experience in state and federal district courts, in a broad range of areas including commercial, real estate, municipal, business, professional negligence, insurance, probate, and tort litigation, complement the firm’s existing litigation practice.
With a passion for justice and equality, Stu is also an advocate for First Amendment rights, women’s reproductive rights at health clinics, and Medicaid providers and recipients who have been wrongly accused of fraud. He won the largest Montana verdict ever in a legal and accounting malpractice case, defeated a bankruptcy reorganization plan for a municipality, represented a young boy who suffered injury as result of medical malpractice in a U.S. Army medical facility (securing an act of Congress to get funding for the boy’s brain injury), obtained the largest personal injury verdict ever in the Province of Quebec, Canada, and represented a life insurance carrier in a contract murder case leading him straight to the underbelly of the New York mob. When appropriate, he has been known to take on cases for those who have been wronged and need legal assistance, but may not be able to afford an attorney.
Among Stu’s other accomplishments, he is a member of the Anti-Defamation League’s National Commission and currently serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Mountain States Region of the Anti-Defamation League. He is a member of the Denver, Colorado, and Texas Bar Associations, and the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association. He has also served as the Chairperson of the Civil Rights, Young Leadership Development Program, Task Force on Cults, Governmental Relations, and Society of Fellows Campaign for the Mountain States Region of the ADL. He is also an instructor in the University of Colorado Law School Trial Advocacy Program. Stu has authored articles such as “Structured Settlements – To Structure or Not to Structure: What are the Questions?”; “Proper Charting: Preventative Medicine for Malpractice Suits”; “Malpractice Pitfalls in Critical Care Nursing”; and “Legal Writing: The Art of Making Art.” Grimshaw & Harring looks forward to a long and exciting relationship with Mr. Stuart Pack and is excited to deepen its litigation roots and capabilities.
