Our firm’s attorneys represent personal representatives (also known as executors), beneficiaries, heirs, and creditors in probate matters, handling all aspects of the process from commencing probate of a will or an estate without a will, to obtaining appointment of a personal representative, to filing of claims on behalf of creditors. We advise personal representatives regarding the administration of an estate, assisting in the preparation of the inventory, gathering of assets, payment of claims, distribution of assets, and final accounting.

Our firm’s attorneys have numerous years of experience in estate planning, preparing wills, trusts, living wills, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents. Our estate planning group also utilizes the experience of our corporate attorneys in forming limited liability companies, limited liability limited partnerships, family partnerships, and other business entities for estate planning purposes. Estate planning involves many personal choices and we pride ourselves on the personal service we provide in helping our clients make those choices.

Mr. Harring has over forty years of commercial litigation experience representing diverse clients in trials and appeals in both state and federal court. Mr. Harring also maintains an active practice representing the firm’s special district and municipal clients in contract negotiations and litigation.

Richard L. Harring was born in DeWitt, Iowa on July 2, 1937, admitted to the Iowa bar in 1962, and to the Colorado, U.S. District Court, District of Colorado and U.S. Court of Appeals, Tenth Circuit in 1963.
